Standing firmly upon family values and a passion for making quality food, this generational restaurant is always ready to welcome anyone seeking a hearty meal had in a friendly atmosphere.

Origin Story

The year was 1950. The American dream was overtaking the world. Six brothers from Greece emigrated to the United States. Driven by that exact American dream to create a better life for their family, they situated themselves in Connecticut.

It wasn't easy at first. Their aspiration was to own their own business, but fate had other plans for a while. All six of them were working the Connecticut docks for years. Still, this wasn't what they wanted. The dream for a business of their own was as vivid as ever, so the eldest brother, William Fotopulos, took a leap of faith and opened the doors to the very first ABC Pizza in 1966.

This proved to be the right step almost immediately. What started as a single store in Connecticut flourished and bloomed until it was so sought after that the brothers had to open more locations. By 1974 they had 8 stores in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Today the chain counts 12 locations in total.

Members of the founding family are still involved in the business, making sure the original values are still what this pizza chain rests upon.

Pizza Culture

As pizza was always at the center of ABC's plan, they have a pretty rich pizza culture and history.

Being from the Mediterranean side of things, they already had the knowledge of the best ingredients and how to go about cooking authentic food, so they used this knowledge to develop the ABC pizza menu.

Always fresh and prepped with high-quality ingredients, from flour to toppings, ABC's pizza menu is vast. They serve all the classic pies we know and love, but also a variety of specialty pizzas for the culinary wanderers out there. Some of their specialties include the Mediterranean pizza, the Gyro pizza, and their cheese pita.

The reason why this chain became so popular was the brothers' ability to mix and match Greek and Italian cuisine until they produced one-of-a-kind pies for all to enjoy.

Still, ABC Pizza isn't just a pizza spot. They also serve a variety of Mediterranean dishes carrying the taste of the Ionian Sea all the way to sunny Florida.
