Origin Story

Palermo's Pizza is a culinary translation of the beautiful relationship between its owners. Maria Spatola Maman, originally from Sicily, and her husband Yoram, originally from Israel, are the brains and hearts behind this family-owned gem of a restaurant.

Back in 1974, they decided that Italy's incredible cuisine should be brought to Blue Bell, Arizona. Even though they started out serving only brick-oven pizza and Italian dishes, after a while they decided to spice things up.

The meals inspired by the city of Palermo's eclectic food scene were soon joined by amazing Israeli specialties, turning the restaurant into a unique combination of two cultures that previously seemed impossible to pair! This unprecedented junction is exactly what makes Palermo's Pizza a true fan favorite anywhere it pops up.

All of this happened in 1992. Ever since, Maria and Yoram use their previous restauranteur knowledge to grow their business, updating the restaurant's menu and giving customers more and more options to choose from.

Pizza Culture

Truly Italian, Palermo's pizza menu is filled with amazing pies made using only the best ingredients out there. A choice between traditional, gourmet, and specialty pies is always present.

The flavors vary, as the restaurant always wants to have a variety to offer. You can also choose between regular, whole wheat, and flatbread for the crust. Many of the ingredients Palermo's Pizza uses are imported to ensure a truly authentic dining experience. However, they're still as fresh as if they were just brought in from a local farm.
