Origin Story

As many of these stories go, Pasquale's Pizza's origins, although officially noted to be starting in 1974, actually go all the way back. It all truly begins in 1960s New Jersey.

Geroge Sr. Marrone was 16 years old and working at a Jersey pizza joint. His mentor, Bruno Calandria was his guide. Taking him under his wing, Bruno taught George Sr. a lot. From pizza recipes to how to run a business, Bruno shaped young George Sr's mind into the one that, years later, would start the successful story we now call Pasquale's Pizzeria.

A decade (and change) later, in the iconic 1974, George Sr. and his wife opened the first Pasquale's Pizza restaurant in New Jersey. Down by the river, the restaurant was magnificent. Seating 40 guests, it became a quick success, thanks to Geroge's know-how, fresh ingredients, and traditional cooking. Ten years later, another Pasquale's Pizza was born in Jersey, producing a similar result.

Finally, we come to 1988. The Marrone family moves to Florida's developing Coral Springs and opens its first Sunny State location. This time, however, George Sr's sons join the family business.

Just like the Jersey restaurant, the Coral Springs Pasquale's Pizza is a quick success and through the years, builds up to be a great, family-owned, family-centered pizza chain meant for the true lovers of a good Italian pizza pie.

The name Pasquale's is an homage to grandpa Pasquale Marrone, George Sr's father. A sign of respect and a way to secure and honor a true family legacy, it’s something the pizzeria prides itself in.
