Tony’s Pizza Napoletana is located in North Beach. The building is on a street corner and it has that classic Frisco look. The red logo contrasts the green facade so much that you can’t miss this spot!

The owner is Tony Gemignani who has won the World Pizza Champion award 13 times! He first got it in 2007 and was the first non-Neapolitan to win it in Naples. Now, Tony makes his handcrafted dishes in the city.

At Tony’s, they make slices in several different ovens. The list of pies includes: Detroit-style, Sicilian, Californian, Pizza Romana, coal-fired, Grandma, Classic American, Classic Italian, and more.

They use high-quality ingredients. And they import them from Italy or get them from local farmers.

2) Mozzarella Di Bufala

The place is located in West Portal. It has a cozy interior with paintings on the wall. And the entrance is in a small reddish building.

The owner is Pedro Galletti and he’s very passionate about the original tastes of Brazil and New York!

3) Pink Onion

4) Del Popolo

One of the best pizza places in the city is Del Popolo, located in Nob Hill. It started out as a mobile pizzeria back in 2012. Back then, they served slices out of a Freightliner truck.

Later, they opened the brick-and-mortar restaurant which has a neat interior. Inside, you can see the wood-fired oven with the green bricks. There are also paintings on the sidewalls and a great atmosphere.

Del Popolo offers pies like the Bianca with mozzarella, basil, and garlic. Or you can try the Salami Piccante made with crushed tomato, onions, peppers, and mozzarella. Additionally, there are the mouthwatering Arrabiata and the Margherita.

5) Gochees Pizza

Located in the Financial District, Goochees has some of the best pizza in the area!

It was previously known as Pizza Orgasmica. And one of its founders is now the owner of Gochees Pizza. Many office workers from the area eat here!

The menu has appetizers, salads, beverages, desserts, and pies. They offer Chicago Style slices like the Deep Dish Garden and the Deep Dish Everything. The Deep Dish Sausage & Mushroom comes with Tomato sauce, sausage, mozzarella, and mushroom.

6) Pizza Due

Pizza Due is the sister location to Morning Due. The word ‘due’ means two in Italian. So, the name fits their second family business. The first one, Morning Due has been run for generations and is famous in the city.

They source high-quality local ingredients and their dough is perfect. You can get classic pies like the Margherita. Or the Veggie and the Green Goddess. The Garden is very delicious too!

7) Zero Zero
