The pizza that Cocoa Beach is known for is New York-style. It's been a favorite with the visitors who head there to take a stroll along the beachfront as they can just pick up a slice to take-out and eat while enjoying a breath of the North Atlantic air or watching the rocket launches happening further along the coast. New York-style pizza emerged onto the American food scene in the 1930s after being created by a New York pizza chef. It's a version of the traditional thin-crusted Neapolitan-style pizza which originates from the Naples region of Italy. The creative chef stretched out the dough to make his pie giant-size then once baked, he cut it into large wedges which consumers could fold to eat. It was a way of eating pizza that caught on quickly and New York-style pizza soon became the nation's favorite.
Bruno's Pizzeria on North Orlando Avenue may well bake the best delivery pizza in Cocoa Beach, but by getting your pie delivered, you're missing out on visiting a pretty unique pizzeria. Bruno's is housed in an independent, bungalow-style premises that just shout surf city here we come. It's decorated externally with super surfing-related murals which wouldn't look out of place on a beach hut. Inside the same surfing theme is continued. The only thing that's missing is sand on the floor. Bruno's premises may have that laid-back surfing look, but there's nothing laid back about the way they work or their pizzas. Whichever of their great pies you chose, it'll be prepared to perfection and arrive in record time. If you want an all-out pizza treat, Bruno's Loaded comes highly recommended.

Forget New York-style pies here as these guys bake the real thing and with exceptional finesse too. Whether you go for a red or white pie, after one bite you'll be so glad you stopped by and you'll be singing praises about this pizzeria for a week at least.
