Guide to the Best Brooklyn Pizza Places

We’ve listed 10 best Brooklyn pizza places with the most delicious, authentic pies and slices in NY. Some of them offer delivery or pickup, so you can get the best pizza in Brooklyn within minutes.

1) Speedy Romeo

  • Established: 2012
  • Signature dish: King Brother Pizza
  • Working hours: Open 7 days a week. Monday to Thursday from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM;

Speedy Romeo is a pizzeria and steakhouse in Clinton Hill, serving pies cooked with fire in a hardwood fired Italian pizza oven. The place was a 100-year-old bar, then an auto parts shop and today is an iconic pizza joint!

Speedy Romeo is named by one of the owners’ champion racehorses. And the horse’s portrait is framed in the kitchen. That’s some genuine local appeal!

This industrial restaurant serves pizzas, salads, appetizers, and meat dishes.

Speedy Romeo makes wood-fires St. Louis style pizza, thinner, with a crispier crust than the typical Brooklyn pizza. Their pies are made with fresh mozzarella pulled every morning and Provel cheese (a combination of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone cheeses) from St Louis, Missouri, and are charred to perfection.

Their most famous pizza is King Brother pizza with bechamel sauce, wild mushrooms, smoked mozzarella, farm egg, and sage.

They are proud to be included on the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand list.

2) Vinnie’s Pizzeria

  • Established: 1960

  • Working hours: Open 7 days a week. Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 10:55 PM; Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:45 AM.

This pizza gem is one of the best pizza places in Brooklyn. In Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Vinnie's still uses the original recipe for their pizzas, but everything else is changed.

Vinnie's new owners kept the head chef and the pizzaiolo and recreated the menu with ingredients and catchy pie names. So you can grab a Parmageddon, Mac Atack, or T.Hanks pizza.

The interior may be sparingly arranged, but the pop culture influenced exceptional boards and memorabilia makes Vinnie's unique. One of the owners, Sean Berthiaume, creates world-famous boards with daily specials and groan-worthy puns.

You can choose some of the classics like Cheese or Pepperoni pie, but there are plenty of vegan (made with 100% vegan ingredients & Teese cheese) and vegetarian pizzas, as well as gluten-free pizzas.

A great vegetarian option is the Black Bean Avocado pizza with avocado, chopped tomatoes, and feta cheese on a bed of black beans. From the meat pies, the Buffalo Chicken pizza made with spicy chicken, shaved blue cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Frank’s hot sauce is a must-try.
