Origin Story

Our story beings in 1992 when brothers Aro and Allen Agakhanyan opened the first Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria.

Their goal was to offer irresistible pizzas and other dishes made only with the best ingredients and featuring a unique taste.

What's more, the pizzeria itself would have a distinct Southern California vibe to it. And over the years the number of locations started to grow exponentially. The same goes for our menu and the sizes of our pies. Today, our restaurant offers remarkable products that our customers have grown to love.

Big Mama's & Papa's is a place where you can come with your friends and family and create wonderful memories over a mouthwatering meal. And it's not just the quality of the ingredients, but our friendly staff provides amazing service as well.

Not to toot our own horn, but our pizzeria definitely has that "Southern California Cool" quality. And as a testament to that were the Academy Awards in 2014 when Ellen DeGeneres gave slices of our pizza to the likes of Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford, and others. This show had a viewership of over 40 million.

Pizza Culture

Our approach to making pizzas is basically - go big or go home. And we mean that quite literally for our pies are available from small to very large sizes. The smallest pizza you can get is 10" but we also have up to 28" and even 36" ones. For a start, we have to put the spotlight on our signature Cheese & Sauce pizza. As the name implies, this one comes with classic cheese but you can also create yours and pick the toppings you prefer. And the same applies to our gluten-free version which is a great option for people on a more specific diet.

In addition, we serve a number of specialty combinations. These include classics like the Margherita, Meat Lover, Hawaiian, Veggie, and BBQ pie. But we also have other interesting ones like our Godfather pizza, to give an example.

Moreover, you can try one of our Egg Gondola or Mezze pies. The former include options like our Ham & Bacon with two eggs gondola pizza.

Last but not least, if you need to grab some on the go, we also offer fresh and hot pizza by the slice.

The Menu

Besides scrumptious pies, our menu also features other tasty dishes. Thus, you can start your meal with one of our appetizers or salads. A popular item is our Chicken Breast Tender but we also have great mozzarella sticks, meatballs, garlic bread, and more. As for our salads, you can never go wrong with our Greek, Antipasto, or Ceaser, to name a few.

As a great substitute for pizza, we got to mention our extraordinary calzones. You can try our veggie, BBQ shrimp, Mexican calzone, and others. Or you can even customize one with up to four toppings.

Furthermore, we serve a great selection of fresh sandwiches. A very popular one is our Philly Steak sandwich, but we also have a Turkey, Italian Hoagie, Meatball sandwich, and then some.

In the mood for pasta? Sure thing, our menu includes plenty of awesome pasta dishes - from a tasty lasagna to Penne with Sicilian sauce, as well as various pasta and sauce combinations.

After you're done with your main course, we suggest getting one of our toothsome desserts. These include our Tiramisu, Cannoli, Chocolate Eclair, and more.
