The journey wasn't easy at the beginning. The idea was developed when the owners, who have worked in pizza industries since 1989, wanted to have their own identity on creating a unique taste that people would fall in love with. They wanted to start their own pizza venture, but at that time, they didn’t have the funds to do so. However, Mr. Cheema’s sister and family, who resided in Canada, provided the funds to start up the business. Can Am Pizza was established on April 14, 1999 in Kent, Washington. In the first year, Mr. Cheema and Mrs. Cheema worked every single day, even staying after midnight hours, to brand their name and provide customers quality food. After a year, Can Am Pizza started to bloom.
Can Am Pizza is the home of gourmet pizza, pasta, and a lot more. This is the home where pizza is made from scratch with their own traditional dough and the taste of fresh ingredients. Every sauce is made traditionally providing customers the comforting feeling of being home which includes the Pizza sauce, Greek sauce, Meat sauce and many more. In 1999, there wasn’t any pizza place that had provided a 1 free complimentary dip with each pizza. Can Am Pizza had provided the idea of Dip, Dab, Dunk. Mr. and Mrs. Cheema were the FIRST CREATORS on bringing East Indian flavors on to their pizzas and creating pizzas like, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Paneer Masala, and a lot more. That’s why we are a little different and better.
Mr. and Mrs. Cheema’s mission is to keep creating unique flavors that will touch many people’s hearts. The vision was small in the beginning, but now over the years, the vision has became larger and Can Am Pizza has held its place in Washington State. The goal is to have more Can Am families in every state and take the vision internationally because of the amounts of request we have got to open up more Can Am’s. We strive to create more relationships with our customers and bring more tastes to our pizza lovers that they feel like home. Pretty soon, Can Am Pizza will be in your neighborhood.
