Origin Story

Jim Fox had a dream to open a pizzeria in Pitcairn, Pennsylvania. The city where he grew up. And he managed to do it even with limited resources! He only had $500, rented a storeroom, and found some old equipment in a scrapyard.

The pizza shop was immediately successful. In fact, he sold out just six hours after making the first pie.

Next, Jim opened two more locations in 1973. One in Harrison City and the other in East Pittsburgh. Later, he opened yet another one in Swissvale.

And this is when he introduced home delivery to the mix. The concept was quite revolutionary for the pizza business in the area.

Pizza Culture

Jim was very fond of the franchise idea because it would help others. And he started franchising his pizza business in 1974!

Today, Fox’s Pizza Den continues to grow! It has been running for over 45 years. And they have more than 200 locations opened across 25 states.

In 1986, a Fox’s Pizza Distribution was established. On the regular, this brings a top-quality product and stable distribution to the pizzerias.

The franchise has also won several awards. This includes the PMQ Pizza Industry Enterprise award in 2005 and 2007. And in 1993, the National Pizza and Pasta Association voted them the best pizza franchise.

Fox’s Pizza Den Menu

Fox’s Pizza Den menu is full of delicious items! They have pizza, gourmet, stromboli, hoagies, wedgies, salads, sides, and desserts.

One of the most tasty pies is the Meat Supreme. It is rich with tasty ingredients like fresh bacon, pepperoni, savory Italian sausage, tender ham, and beef. And it also has the pizzeria’s own cheese blend and traditional sauce.

Another flavorsome pick is the Chicken Rancher. This one is made with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, diced chicken, and ranch dressing with mozzarella provolone.

Or you can try the Taco. This pie comes with taco meat, cheddar cheese topped with lettuce, pizza sauce, tomato, nacho chips, and taco sauce.

And if you want a pizza with interesting toppings then we suggest the Hawaiian. This one is loaded with pineapple, extra cheese, sauce, and ham.

They also have amazing hoagies! You can try the Roast Beef with melted mozzarella and provolone that cover the tender roast beef. And it also has lettuce, mayo, and tomato.

And for dessert, you can get a pizza brownie with chocolate chips. It is very chewy and extra chocolaty!
