Looking to find delicious pizza in Chicago? One of the best places where you can get it is Rosati’s Pizza!
There are 23 Rosati’s Pizza locations in Illinois alone, and plenty of others throughout the country. This includes:
Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.
So, if you’re in these areas, you can find Rosati’s Pizza near you!
Rosati’s Pizza has a long and rich history. It all started with Sam Rosati’s father who had a restaurant in New York in the 1890s. The place served tasty Italian dishes.
Later on, the family relocated to Chicago. And they opened another restaurant there. They offered delicious crispy pizza with homemade tomato sauce.
In 1927, Saverio “Sam” Rosati himself opened a restaurant in Chicago. Just like his father before him. His motto was “Give the people what they want”.
After Sam’s retirement, his sons carried on the family tradition. And they opened the first Rosati’s pizzeria in 1964. In later years, Rosati's pizza business continued to spread. Rick Rosati opened a pizzeria in 1970. It was located in Illinois. And there were ten family members that ran a Rosati pizzeria by 1978.
In 1979, the family turned their pizza business into a franchise. And in 1996, the great great grandson of Fred Sr. opened a restaurant in Belvidere, Illinois. And more locations have opened since.
At Rosati’s Pizza, they’ve been using the same recipe since 1964! Their goal is to create real Chicago pizza and stick to tradition. The pies are made from scratch and with local ingredients.
They avoid using frozen dough and canned sauce. Instead, they try to make everything fresh. Hence, their food is always fresh out of the oven.
Quality ingredients and excellent teamwork is Rosati’s winning combination! Everyone works fast and takes pride in what they do.
The result is some of the best pizza you could taste in Chicago and beyond!
Rosati’s Pizza menu is extensive. They offer pizzas, appetizers, wings, sandwiches, dinners, pastas, salads, and desserts.
The pies come in different sizes and crusts. The “thin crust” is light and crisp. And the “double dough” is twice as thick. There are also the “stuffed” and “gluten-free” crusts but only for some sizes. As well as the “Chicago Deep Dish” which is pan-cooked and covered with cheese.
You can create your own pizza with the ingredients from their list. These fall under the three categories of meat, veggies, and gourmet.
Or you can choose from Rosati's favorite combinations!
A great pick is the Rosati’s Monster. It comes with bacon, green pepper, pepperoni, mushroom, onion, ground beef, sausage, black & green olives And you can get it in “thin crust” or “double dough”.
Another mouthwatering pie is the Hawaiian Luau! This one comes with interesting ingredients like fresh pineapple. And also fresh tomato, Canadian bacon, and barbecue sauce.
Or you can also try the Vegetarian Deluxe with green pepper, onion, mushroom, and fresh tomato.
I love Bloomingdale Rosati's Pizza.
