Years ago, a young boy and his family sailed to America aboard the Andrea Doria, leaving behind the only lives they knew, but filled with dreams, including one for the young boy, Vito, that included owning his own restaurant.
In 1986, Vito and his stunning bride, JoAnne, fulfilled that dream, when they opened up Vito’s.
Serving home style meals created from recipes passed down over the years from Vito’s own grandmothers, Vito’s restaurant became the place young parents took their children on Friday nights, the place families would meet for dinner, staying for hours, laughing, talking, and rediscovering their bonds as they feasted on the finest of authentic Italian dishes.
Using only the freshest local ingredients, along with some imported from Italy, for over 20 years Vito and his still beautiful bride expanded on their success, creating an Italian eatery that was more than just a place to eat a meal.
