History

The first Pizza Guy opened in 1986 in Sacramento, California. It was founded by Shahpour Nejad and Reza Kalantar. And the first pizzeria was actually called Superb Pizza. Their goal was to combine East Coast flavors with California ingredients.

They began to franchise their pizza business in 1994. Since then they have opened over 60 stores.

Hence, every team member is more than just an employee. And all of them contribute to the success of the pizzerias. Many of the team members have been working there for years. And some even run their own Pizza Guys restaurant!

Of course, the customers come first. So, they make sure the food is always top-notch. And they use high-quality ingredients. Their dough is made fresh every day, and they source the 100% whole milk mozzarella from California.

Additionally, the pizzeria has its own secret sauce. It is a combination of herbs and spices, and tomatoes. The tomatoes are fresh-packed and grown in Central California. Also, they only use natural and non-GMO ingredients on their pies.

Moreover, Pizza Guys contribute a lot to the community. They’ve made many donations in order to help firefighters and hospital workers.

But they have also helped to spread awareness and raise funds for breast cancer. In fact, they became partners with the American Cancer Society in 2014.

During October, their pizza boxes are pink. And by donating some of the pizza profits, they’ve raised over $235,000.

The Menu

The Pizza Guys menu is full of tasty dishes! It includes many delicious pies but also appetizers, salads, wings, flatbreads, calzone, side orders, pasta dishes, desserts, and beverages.

The specialty pizzas are amazing. Like the Hawaiian Delight with signature red tomato sauce, extra mozzarella cheese, Canadian bacon, and juicy pineapple chunks.

Also, the Texas BBQ with spicy barbeque sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken, smoked bacon, and red onions.

Or you can try the Classic Vegetarian pizza. This one comes with signature red tomato sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, red onions, green peppers, black olives, fresh Roma tomatoes, salt, and pepper.

We also suggest the Mexican Taco with Taco sauce, cheddar, mozzarella, beef, lettuce, green onions, black olives, and Roma tomatoes.

From the appetizers, you can try the Cheese Bacon Bread. It is made with creamy garlic sauce, mozzarella, and smoked bacon. And they serve it with ranch sauce.

Additionally, you can get some of their flavorsome desserts. For example, the Cinna-Twist made with freshly-baked pastry dough and coated in a cinnamon-sugar mixture. And they serve it with creamy vanilla icing.
