In Detroit in the 1950’s Alfonso Marino opened his first pizza place, Marino’s Pizzeria and Restaurant, where he taught his sons, Sam and John, the art of making pizzas. Two generations later, Alfonso’s grandsons Alfonso (“Al”) and Frank, along with their father Sam, developed a unique and outstanding array of products and services referred to as “Sam’s Sorrento Pizza.” With more than forthy-five (45) years of experience in the pizza industry, Sam Marino, with the active help of his sons Al and Frank, made Sam’s Sorrento Pizza Restaurants the success they are today.
