You can get the idea about the pizza scene growth when you visit Humble Pie. Situated in the International District, this pizzeria is serving sustainable wood-fired pizzas.

It is imagined as a neighborhood pizzeria, with a big patio, urban garden, vineyard, picnic tables, and a chicken coop. Humble Pie is 100% solar and wind-powered, with local sources, as close to home as possible.

They care about the environment and society, and they care about pizza, too. This pie-only restaurant serves more than 10 pizza varieties. Some of them have unusual topping combinations like apples and walnuts or pulled pork and pickled onions.

Whole Hog is one of their signature pies with tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto, pulled pork, and bacon. Looking for something lighter?

Go for their Fresh Mozzarella Margherita. All the pies can be made vegan with vegan cheese alternatives and fresh organic vegetables.

2) Slice Box Pizza

  • Established: 2016
  • Signature dish: Square Classic Pepperoni Pie
  • Working hours: Closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Just a couple blocks from Safeco Field in the SoDo neighborhood you’ll find Slice Box Pizza. This little pizza joint is founded by two self-proclaimed pizza students, husband and wife Ryan and Leanna Lengle.

In 2010 they owned a hydroponic garden shop in SoDo and noticed a shortage of lunch places in the neighborhood. Soon after they bought restaurant equipment and started learning everything about pizza.

Today they serve delicious NY-style slices and whole pies with tomatoes and basil from their produce.

The Square Classic (Sicilian) Pepperoni pie with a buttery crust and stretchy cheese is a must-try. Fan of a white pie?

Try their Beetza pie with mozzarella, spinach, pickled beets, gorgonzola, walnuts, and balsamic drizzle. Moreover, vegetarians can choose from more than 10 veggie pie varieties.

3) Outsider Pizza

The owner Brandon Pettit operates another popular pizzeria, Delancey where he crafts perfect thin-crust pizzas. Here, at Dino’s Tomato Pie it’s all about thick square slices, topped with delicious tomato sauce and cheese up to the perfectly charred edges.

Besides Sicilian square pie, Dino’s makes round pies too, like those at their Delancey shop. Grab a round only Mr. Pink pizza with vodka sauce, fresh mozzarella, parm, and fresh basil. Or simply try their signature crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside square slice.

This family pizza restaurant in First Hill is renowned for its large New York-style 23-inch pizzas. The pies are made with fresh dough prepared daily, and a delicious homemade sauce made by a 100-year-old family recipe.

Alongside pies, Italian Family Pizza serves mouthwatering calzones, pasta dishes, Stromboli, salads, and desserts.

Pepperoni lovers can enjoy a slice with curled Pepperoni cups. However, make sure to try the classic Tomato pie with their signature homemade red sauce topped with grated Pecorino Romano cheese and olive oil.

6) Breezy Town Pizza

  • Established: 2018
  • Signature dish: Pepperoni Paint Job Pie
  • Working hours: Open 7 days a week. Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Breezy Town Pizza is a midwestern pan pizzeria located in Beacon Hill. This pizza joint is a younger sibling to the well-established pizzeria Windy City Pie.

At Breezy Town you can enjoy a combination of Detroit-style and Chicago-style pizza. Their deep-dish pan pizzas are made with sourdough, a blend of mozzarella, and Wisconsin brick cheese. The burnt cheese edges are their trademark, both at Breezy Town and Windy City Pie.

If you like a veggie alternative, try their Toddler pie with Wisconsin brick and mozzarella blend, red sauce, and fresh basil. Or ask for a vegan pie.

However, don’t miss out on their signature Pepperoni Paint Job pie. The Wisconsin brick and mozzarella hide the baked-in Pepperoni, topped with red sauce and some more crispy Pepperoni on top.

7) Pizzeria Credo

  • Established: 2013
  • Signature dish: Con Carne Pizza
  • Working hours: Closed on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday to Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Pizzeria Credo is a cozy, little pizza spot, at the Junction in West Seattle. Credo is famous for its Neapolitan-style pizza, baked to perfection in a wood-fired oven.

Pies are made from imported Italian flour and tomatoes, in combination with fresh, homemade mozzarella.

They use high-quality ingredients to make mouthwatering pies, pasta, salads, and appetizers. Their Alla Sasa Pizza is something unique since it is half Margherita pizza, half calzone, stuffed with fresh mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and sausage.

Meat lovers in the neighborhood love their Con Carne Pizza, made with San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and chorizo.

8) Razzis Pizzeria

  • Established: 1983
  • Signature dish: Garden Special Pizza
  • Working hours: Open 7 days a week. Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM; Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM.

What started as a traditional pizzeria back in 1983 is transformed into a wide-range pizza place adapted to the customers’ needs.

This Greenwood pizzeria has a large menu, adapted to different dietary restrictions. Therefore, there is a large variety of meat, veggie, vegan, gluten-free, low-carb, low-sodium, and organic dishes on their (gigantic) menu.

You can custom the dish by preferences so you can order a gluten-free, vegan & low-carb pizza or a crustless meat pie. They serve sandwiches, salads, pasta, paninis, gyros, and more, all of which can be made as a gluten-free, low-carb, low-sodium, or vegan dish. Ice cream and desserts, too.

Their organic gluten-free pizza crusts and bread are made without soy, dairy, eggs, and other allergens. Moreover, they use local natural and organic whole-food ingredients for almost every food item on the menu.

Even though their Margherita pie is great, try their Garden Special pizza with roasted eggplant, mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, fresh garlic, and mozzarella, layered over their homemade organic pizza sauce.

9) The Independent Pizzeria

  • Established: 201
  • Signature dish: New Haven Pizza
  • Working hours: Closed on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday to Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM; Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Located right on the water in Madison Park, this pizzeria serves craft Neapolitan-style pizza. The crust is thin but chewy, with charred blisters on the edges, and a perfect cheese to sauce ratio.

For all their pizzas, Indie uses organic tomato passata and toppings like chèvre, speck, artichokes, cremini mushrooms, and more.

Since Independent Pizzeria has a beachside location, seafood seems like a logical choice, right?

That’s why you should order their signature New Haven Pizza with a garlic oil base, mozzarella, grana, white wine, parsley, chopped clams, and a lemon wedge on top.

10) Johnny Mo’s

  • Established: 2019
  • Signature dish: Mo Meat Deep Dish Classic Pizza
  • Working hours: Open 7 days a week. Monday to Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

This Eastlake pizza gem is owned by Johnny and Mo, best friends for more than 25 years. Johnny enjoys the variety of the New York slices, and Mo loves the Chicago deep-dish pies.

Thus, on the menu at Johnny Mo’s you’ll find both NY pizza and Chicago pizza, too.

Mo Meat Deep Dish Classic Pizza with mozzarella, chunky homemade sauce with imported tomatoes, topped with delicious sausage, and pepperoni is something worth trying.

Besides pies, Johnny Mo’s serves appetizing starters, salads, sandwiches, pasta, and desserts.
